Vancouer Island RV Tour

Day 1 & 2 – Vancouver to Victoria (70 km)

  • Pick-up your RV in Vancouver and drive to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. Enjoy a 2 hour boat ride through the Southern Gulf Islands and maybe catch a glimpse of some Killer Whales.
  • Stay two nights at the beautiful Goldstream Provincial Park and enjoy the many attractions of Victoria. The most popular activities are: whale-watching, deep sea fishing, Butchart Gardens Tour, walking in Beacon Hill Park, tea at the Fairmont Empress.

Day 3 & 4 – Victoria to Tofino & Pacific Rim National Park (320 km)

  • The drive from Victoria to Tofino is nothing short of spectacular. The first arm of the trip will take you up the Malahat drive, which has ample rest-areas that offer stunning views of Satellite Channel and the surrounding Islands. As you cut across the Island, you will drive through Cathedral Grove, a protected old growth forest that contains gigantic Douglas Fir. Take a few minutes and stop to enjoy these massive trees.
  • Stay two nights at the Bella Pacifica campground. The RV stations are right on the water and allow you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. The activities in Tofino are endless with the most popular being surfing, Flight Place Tours, Whale-watching, and a trip to the Hot Springs.

Day 5 & 6 – Tofino to Courtenay (274 km)

  • Retrace your route from Tofino to the main Island that runs along Vancouver Island. Head north to Courtenay and stay two nights at the Miracle Beach Campground.
  • Popular activities in Courtenay include salmon fishing, whale and bear watching tours, kayaking, hiking and skiing. During the winter months in Courtenay you can ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon!

Day 7 – Courtenay to Vancouver

  • Drive south to Nanaimo and board the ferry from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay. Arrive in Vancouver and return your RV.
