Sailing in the Gulf Islands

Hi there,
We are a group of 8 friends and would like to hire a sailboat to sail around the Gulf Islands or up around Desolation Sound (in the summer months). What are our options for sailboat tours? We have limited sailing experience but would love to take this opportunity to learn as we are hoping to buy our own boat in the near future.

There are companies on Vancouver Island that do standard sailing routes in which you can get involved in all the sailing "duties". To hire them to so a specific route you are looking at a little more money. But it can be done.
