Banff or Whistler

Hello - I wish to spend a total of 10 days in either Banff or Whistler. I wish my family do most outdoor activities as possible - hike, bike, canoe, rafting.
I want to stay only one place - should be Banff or Whistler? I have two child 14 & 12. Thank You.

I have been to both of these locations a few times. Banff is an amazing place inside a national park, so there is a lot of wildlife to be seen in and around town. Whistler is also beautiful and is near Squamish, which is self proclaimed outdoor recreation capital of Canada. There is also so many activities for young and old in Whistler itself, although it can be quite bust during the summer time. Either choice will not leave you dissapointed.

Hi Klaus, Demoguy is right on. Either choice you make will be a good one. The only thing I would like to add would be that because Whistler competes with Squamish (as mentioned above) it may be a little easier on your budget.
