Comox Valley Skiing

The most popular ski facility on Vancouver Island is Mt. Washington, located about 20 minutes from Courtenay. With an average snowfall of over 12 meters, Mt. Washington generally has the most snow of any ski resort in North America. With nine lifts servicing over 1600 acres of terrain, the hill offers options for skiers of all levels. BC Rockies Skiing

The ski resorts of the majestic Rockies include: the Kimberley Alpine Resort (Kimberley BC), the Fernie Alpine Resort (Fernie BC), the Kicking Horse Resort (Golden BC) and the Panorama Resort (Invermere BC). Due to their high elevation, the ski hills typically have dry, fluffy powder and a longer ski season lasting from mid November until mid April.
