Okanagan Hiking
While most of the major ski hills offer well kept hiking trails, the Okanagan region is also home to a number of highly sought after hiking areas. Cathedral Provincial Park and the Keremeos Columns offer amazing views and mountain lakes and are great day hiking destinations in the Keremeos area.
The Kettle Valley Railway, a historic rail line in BC, offers easy day hiking and can be accessed from many areas of the Okanagan. Some of the historic trestles were burnt down during the 2003 Kelowna wild fires, but alternate routes continue to be built. No matter which hike you choose, because of the dry, hot climate, be sure to pack a lot of water.
